The Center for Women and Work and the Institute for Women’s Leadership at Rutgers co-sponsor Women INvesting in and Guiding Students a college-to-career mentoring program designed to link successful professional women with selected Rutgers female students from across the Rutgers University campuses.

WINGS is a voluntary opportunity for selected Rutgers sophomores, juniors and seniors to: learn about the mentoring process before they enter the workforce; make connections with professional role models; develop networks to expand career opportunities; and hear first-hand accounts of successful strategies to address workplace issues.

Who should apply for Academic Year 2008-2009:

  • Deloitte & Touche, one of the nation’s leading professional services firms, is accepting applications from women students who:
    a) will be sophomores or juniors in AY07-08
    b) are or plan to be an Accounting, Finance, or Business Management/Marketing major
    c) have at least a 3.0. GPA and
    d) are interested in pursuing a career at a big accounting firm.

  • Johnson & Johnson, the world's most comprehensive and broadly based manufacturer of health care products, is accepting applications from women students who:
    a) will be sophomores, juniors, or seniors in AY07-08
    b) are or plan to be a Business or Liberal Arts major and
    c) have at least a 3.0 GPA.

  • Wachovia Corporation, the fourth largest bank holding company in the U.S. based on assets, is accepting applications from women students who:
    a) will be junior or seniors in AY07-08
    b) are or plan to be a Business or Liberal Arts major
    c) have at least a 3.0 GPA and
    d) are interested in pursuing a career in financial services.

  • Merck & Co., Inc.  a global research-driven pharmaceutical company dedicated to putting patients first, is accepting applications from women students who:
    1. will be a sophomore, junior or senior in AY08-09
    2. are planning a career in pharmaceuticals, science, medicine, engineering or IT
    3. have a 3.0 GPA (slightly lower GPAs will be considered)
